AThe aim of the study programme is to provide a complete tertiary education of the 3rd level (PhD). A graduate has to master the methods of research and management. A graduate of the third level of the tertiary education in the study programme of Fire Protection and Safety obtains knowledge and skills for independent scientific and creative activity in the field of safety and safety systems. A graduate manages scientific methods of research and is able to formulate a scientific problem and present the outcomes of a research. In the study part they are supposed to cover disciplines from the area of fire protection and complexities of fire-fighting and rescue services. In the scientific part they have to master principles of scientific work, application and verification of research outcomes and scientific formulation of a problem, presentation of outcomes and further they have to develop study branch and so contribute to the science and practice. A graduate shall be employed at a national as at an international level in technical and managerial positions in fire-fighting and rescue services as well as in services of other safety systems. They shall be employed not only in practice, but in the sphere of education, science and research, certification, and projection and as university teachers.
